    Two time National team member, Amber Trani, has been enjoying the sport of gymnastics since the tender age of 2. Amber Marie Trani was born, to parents Glenn (a construction worker) and Paula (a gymnastics coach), on August 04, 1990 in Lansdale, Pennsylvania. Amber has been training as an elite gymnast since 2004 at the Parkette National training center, in Allentown Penn., under Bill and Donna Strauss.

    In 1999, Amber competed as a level six. At the State Championships, she finished fourth all-around! She jumped up to level eight in 2000. Amber qualified competed at Sectionals and States. She repeated level eight in 2001. At the Parkette Invite, she scored a 37 in the all-around! At Sectionals, she was unable to compete on all four events. Amber scored another 37 at States. At Regionals, she finished third on beam and eighth all-around! Amber competed as a level nine in 2002. At States, she won floor. At Regionals, Amber placed seventh all-around! She ended her season at Easterns.

    In 2003, Amber moved up to level ten and competed her first meet at the Woga Classic, Allen, Texas. At States, she won the all-around title. She also won the floor gold medal. At Regionals, she missed qualifing to JO Nationals by one tenth. In 2004, Amber won her second state all-around title. She won vault, bars, beam and floor as well. At Regionals, she a bad meet and miss qualifing to JO Nationals. At the American Challenge, Amber competed as a junior pre-elite. After the level ten season, she qualified to junior international elite. Amber competed at the US Classic the following May.

    2005 proved to be Amber's break out year. She tested for as an international elite at the Parkette Invite where she scored a 36.175. At the national training center, in Houston, Texas, Marta was so impressed that she invited Amber to compete at her first US National Championship. Before Nationals Amber has a test run of a couple of new routines at the US Classic. At Nationals Amber scored a 34.099 on night one and a 34.379 on night two, totalling 68.478. This was enough for Amber to make her first National team!

    Amber started off 2006 at her first International assignment. She didn't fully compete, but did do exhibition on all four events. At the the Parkette Invite, Amber placed sixth in the all-around, under level 10 rules. A few months later at the US Classic Amber placed 6th again, scoring a 58.350, and qualifying her to a second US National Championhips! She placed third on day one, on the vault and ninth with a 57.250 in the all-around. On night two she placed ninth, again in the all-around.

    Amber started off 2007 at the Parkette Invite. Under level 10 rules, she placed fifth, with a 37.050 in the all-around. She also took home a bronze medal on vault with a 9.700 and silver medal on beam with a 9.600. Shortly after the PKI Amber was invited to compete at the Houston Dual (USA vs. The World), at the national team training center in Houston, Texas. She scored a 59.400 in the all-around and 15.050 on floor, placing fifth and fourth respectively. She also took home gold and bronze medals on vault (15.300) and beam (15.600) respectively. Shortly after the dual Amber was selected to compete at the Gymnix International, in Canada. She placed fifth in the all-around with a 55.850. She placed 2nd on vault (14.625) and beam (14.150), 6th on bars (13.625) and fifth on floor (13.450). Her scores were high enough to qualify her to three out of four event finals. Amber followed up her performance from the Gymnix International at the American Classic. The American Classic was also considered the Pan Am Games camp. Amber placed seventhin the all-around with a 58.300. This score was high enough to place Amber on the Pan Am team! At the Pan Am Games Amber helped team USA to a first place finish, competing on vault (15.000) and floor (14.725). Her score on vault was high enough to compete in the vault finals, where she placed second with a score of 14.725.

    Amber followed up her performance from Pan Ams at the US National Championships. She had a little bit of a rough time both nights, scoring a 55.400 on night one and a 57.150 on night two. Amber still qualified to the national team but missed qualifing to the Worlds team. The 2008 season is soon to begin and Amber is ready. Her first meet will be the Parkette Invite.

    Following the US Nationals in 2006 Amber annouced her plans to compete at the University of Georgia, as a BullDog. In the summer preceeding nationals Amber as well as a few of her teammates signed their National Letters of Intent to compete in the NCAA. She will be entering her NCAA train in the fall of 2008, at the University of Georgia!
